I step over the line
And then I look back
as the fragrance of the moment lasts
I hold today loosely
as it slips through the cracks
and I fall into step
with this dance
Like a feather falling
I hear your soul calling
as it brushes my heart
and then lingers
Like hugging sand
when the hour glass breaks

Just time
running through our fingers….

In trying to clean out mega email, I came across this posting. When I accessed I remembered reading the poem and noticed I had Liked but did not leave a comment. This is really a wonderful poem, Diane, with a very clear message. The pictures you chose are absolutely the perfect enhancement!

I love the image of sand running through our hands. It reminds me to take a moment to pause for all the blessings in my life. Time is like a thief otherwise. Beautiful poem, Diane!

This is beautiful Diane. Soft, mesmerizing, it draws me deep into that place of release.
We both chose ‘a line’ to write about in our poems today — how lovely!
