I was writing a new post in my head about this very subject when I stumbled upon a blogger friend’s version of Defining Moments. Those times when we have the opportunity to let a situation define who we are and THAT may be the only time we have to show our character. It is easy to shine when everything is going great but it is those times of inconvenience that is when we have the choice. Teresa’s version of this subject is a wonderful reminder. And check out her blog it is truly filled with treasures♡

Moore to Ponder

But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah,  the Son  of God,  and by believing you may have life in His name.  John 20:31 HCSB

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.  Psalm 51:10-12 KJV

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:2 KJV

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.  Philippians 2:13  KJV

I am thinking about moments.

We do like to capture moments; both good and…

  1. I’m not sure how this happens but it seems that we are on the same wave length sometimes. I was thinking about past times and events the past few weeks and tonight as I was trolling through your blog I came across this. Even though you wrote it months ago I feel in sync with you and this post.

    1. I love it when someone takes time to go through my old posts! Thank YOU♡
Though I can’t take the credit for this one. I reblogged a friend’s post. 😉

  2. Nice. And so often, our lives are so busy, we even forget to STOP and realize that each moment is precious. We need to capture the beauty of ‘the moment’ and make it the best we can. (At least, that’s what I strive for…) :-0

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! I am so happy that I re-blogged this one! It was just so up the alley of what I was thinking and I know that I couldn’t have written it any better so I decided to share Theresa’s wonderful thoguhts on the subject. I am glad to meet you and I hope you also take the time to visit Theresa’s blog it is packed full of treasures!

  3. Thank you for sharing this with us, Diane. Yes, we do like capturing moments. Sometimes, unbeknownst to us, our hearts tend to capture moments even when we are unaware of it so that we may relive and treasure them again in retrospect.

I will check out your friends blog. Hope you’re having a lovely week!! 😀

    1. Mari,
I have been away for a while and then back to work so have not been back to a writing routine yet but seeing your sweet face always so faithfully reading makes me inspired and feel blessed to have you in my life. How is the job search going? You are in my prayers. I am not worried. Anyone would be blessed to have you as an employee and my prayer is that you are blessed with double $$$$ what you were expecting and love your new job because I am believing in one for you!

      1. You are such a blessing to me too, Diane! Thank you so much for your prayers and for your encouraging words! I will be starting a new job on Monday and I am so looking forward to it!! God is an amazing God!! ((:

        1. Oh Mari,
I am so happy for you! I was going to check in with you tonight to see how the job search was going! Praise The Lord! My prayer now is that they will immediately see what a gem they have in you and that you will SHINE and they will see what I see and you will be the cream that rises to the top!!!!!! 🙂 Yaaay Mari!!!! I am sooooo happy! Thank you for letting me know!

  4. Hi, Diane! Remember me? 🙂 I been AWOL for a bit, and I apologize for that. Your writings always encourage me and give me food for thought. I liked Teresa’s post, and I’m glad you shared it. I’ve been struggling a bit lately, and that’s why I stopped by today–hoping to get a good word.
I was instantly intrigued when you started with “writing a new post in my head”. I do that a lot. The thing is, I’d decided to quit writing–that lasted almost three days–and then something stirred me, and as I was taking one of my walks yesterday, I began writing in my head. The story I was writing was painful in a way, but I think it’s something I have to do. It’s called, “Roy”, and it’s going to be another in my series, “The River Between”. Roy was my dad–he adopted me when he married Mom. I never knew my father, and for most of my life, I wished I never knew Roy. Okay… I’m rambling… sorry.
Anyway! You and Teresa helped me this morning, and I thank you.
If you’re interested, I recently published the first book of The River Between series–JULI–and you can check it out here —> http://www.amazon.com/Juli-River-Between-Charles-Mashburn-ebook/dp/B00ISAJJ1K/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1394040854&sr=1-1&keywords=juli

    1. Oh dear Charles,
Of course I remember you!! Congratulations on your book! I know it will be a hit! I love your writing. I must go over and take a peek!
I am blessed knowing so many actual published writers in my little community of friends!

    1. Theresa,
I was honored to share it! I see that many people have enjoyed your wonderful insight! I hope that they in turn have gone over and found you! Thank you also for visting my other blog. I am soooo touched that you have really taken the time to actually read each journal entry! It has touched me to the bottom of my heart that you have taken so much time there! You have inspired me so much! I have been out of town for almost a week without very good reception so my checking in was hit and miss and then have been back to work for a full week which always hits me hard after being away. Now I have a few days off and hope to do some serious writing. Thank you for inspiring me!!!!

I would love to hear from you...Thank you for stopping by!
